A Super Happy Story (About Feeling Super Sad)
Sally is a happy person. She doesn’t let little things get her down, she almost never cries, and she’s always the life and soul of any party. But she’s also got an illness – one that makes her feel like she isn’t the person she wants to be… But she doesn’t want anyone to know about it.
Written by Jon Brittain (Margaret Thatcher Queen of Soho, Rotterdam, What Would Spock Do?) with music by Matthew Floyd Jones (Mannish from Frisky and Mannish) and mixing elements of storytelling, live music and sketch comedy, it’s a fun, silly and sad show for anyone who has a brain that hasn’t always been on their side.
The show has been made with support and help from Hull UK City of Culture 2017, New Diorama Theatre, Fruit, Greenwich Theatre, Hull Truck Theatre, City Health Care Partnership Foundation, Arts Council England and Hull City Council.
Age Guidance: 16+
“A mix of wit and low-key emotion that suddenly grips your heart.”
